Yesterday was my third Lettering Walk with designer and design historian, Paul Shaw. On this chilly expedition we examined the hand-crafted lettering around the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, one of the most affluent in the borough.

As mentioned on my previous Paul Shaw Elmhurst/Corona blog post the purpose of these walks is to identify lettering and commercial signage created by hand using various methods and materials over the last few hundred years.
